In the context of Bandung city, West Java Province, Indonesia, numerous waste banks have contributed a considerable amount of effort in providing the spirit of recycling and waste limiting practices based on the “3Rs” principle. The legal framework of the waste bank or “bank sampah” as it is called in Indonesia, states clearly in the Regulation of Ministry of Environment Number 13/2012 concerning the guidelines for the “3Rs” of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle through the waste bank.
